Travel to Carti

Carti is a group of islands in the Archípielago of Kuna Yala, about 45 minute boat ride from El Porvenir.  Carti is an acess point to the rustic paradise of San Blas.  The main island is densely populated and sometimes hosts docking cruise ships, making it familiar with tourism while maintaining its authenticity.

Most tourism in Kuna Yala is centered in the region of Carti, where there is a greater number of uninhabited islands and beautiful beaches.

What to do in Carti

• Take a traditional Kuna boat ride to one of the surrounding islands, like paradise-like Isla Aguja
• See the excellent  Kuna museum on Carti Suitupo, with guided tour in English or Spanish
