Travel to La Palma

La Palma is a city in the province of Darien, located at the mouth of Rio Tuire. It is the capital of the province of Darien. Despite being the capital, has only one street.
The only things to see and visit in La Palma are on the main street, located just 300 metres from the old airstrip. There are a bank, a hospital and a police station, as well as some hotels, bars and food stalls.
Today, Palma has a new airport, situated about 20 minutes from the town of Miraflores in the area.
Most visitors are here only in passing. Usually you find guides with boats in ports, where they rented hourly or daily.
What to do in La Palma

Take a boat to the natural reserve of Ancon and staying in the Nature Reserve of Punta Patino (about 26000 acres for wildlife). It is advisable to contact Ancon Expeditions and before making a reservation. -
Visit the villages of the Embera indigenous to the shores of Rio Sambú.
